Washington Park, IL (KSDK) - An unoccupied house in Washington Park had not one, but two fires overnight.

Firefighters were first called to the home in the 2100 block of North 57th Street around midnight and found flames and smoke consuming a large portion of the roof.

That fire was extinguished according to one fire official who said they returned to the same building around 5:00 a.m. this morning and found fire burning through the remaining portion of the roof and eaves.

No injuries reported and an official cause for the fire remains under investigation.
