St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A juvenile is hospitalized with three bullet wounds to his lower body after he was targeted by two teenagers on bicycles in north St. Louis.
St. Louis Police tell NewsChannel 5 the 16 year old boy was walking in the 3700 block of Penrose around six Monday evening when a two juveniles on bikes approached and engaged the teenager in conversation.
After a brief discussion, one of the culprits pulled a black handgun and instructed the teen to stand still or he would be shot.
Instead, the teenager began running from the attackers and the teen with the weapon began shooting at the fleeing boy.
The victim was shot once in the thigh, once in the lower leg, and once in the foot and fell to the ground. The two bike riding attackers then rode away.
Police found the boy and transported him to the hospital. No names have been released and a motive remains unclear.
