St. Louis (KSDK) - There has been a big slow down in the effort to have high speed rail from St. Louis to Chicago. The plan is now being delayed several years.
Trains traveling 110 miles per hour were supposed to start running between the two cities by 2014, but new reports say there's a major delay and the first leg won't even be ready until 2016.
It could be even longer before the service extends into Alton and St. Louis.
