Collinsville, IL (KSDK) - A Collinsville man died in a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon after a mechanical failure.

Madison County Coroner Stephen P. Nonn said Charles Bakken, 68, was pushing his motorcycle out of the intersection at West Country Lane and Vandalia Street when a pick-up truck hit him.

Bakken died at the scene.

A portion of southbound 159 was closed during the investigation Tuesday afternoon.
