St. Louis (KSDK) - Three different fires within blocks of each other, in a period of about ninety minutes kept St. Louis fire officials busy early Monday.
Firefighters were called to a vacant home on fire in the 4800 block of Bessie around 2:00 a.m. and quickly got the blaze contained. While wrapping up efforts at that location, another fire call came out for a engulfed garage blaze near the corner of Lee Avenue and Penrose.
Firefighters arrived around 2:30 a.m. and found heavy fire and smoke at that location and got the fire out, but not before the structure was destroyed.
Less than an hour later, firefighters were on the roll yet again in the Penrose neighborhood of north St. Louis when a call came out for a house on fire in the 4700 block of Lee near Shreve.
Firefighters located the blaze which was in a vacant home and contained the fire to the rear portion of the single family home.
No injuries involved in any of the fires and no official cause has been determined. Investigation is ongoing.
