St. Louis (KSDK) - Police are investigating the attempted rape of a jogger in Forest Park.
Police spokesperson Dave Marzullo says the call came in around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday after a 27-year-old female fought the suspect off.
Police say the victim was on the jogging trail near Tamm Avenue when a man struck her with an object, possibly a rock.
The victim fought the man off and was able to escape.
The K-9 unit has been requested to help search the area.
The suspect is described as a black male with short braids last seen wearing a white shirt.
The victim has minor injuries but is expected to be okay.
