St. Louis (KSDK) -- Mizzou football fans should be on the lookout for fake football tickets, according to University of Missouri Police Department Captain Brian Weimer.

At the Georgia game last weekend, ticket scanners recorded more than 400 "missed scans," which could indicate fraudulent tickets.

Weimer recommends people only buy tickets through the Mizzou ticket office or online through mutigers.com.  He suggests fans avoid online auction sites or buying tickets from strangers.
