St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged a 43-year-old Florissant woman for issuing insurance policies to customers after her employer told her she was no longer eligible to do so.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, investigators learned Wendi Glass' license to sell insurance in Missouri had been revoked in September 2011 by the state's Division of Insurance. In November 2011, Alfa Insurance (based in Brentwood, Tennessee) told Glass she could no longer issue policies for the company because of her revoked license.

Prosecutors allege Wendi Glass faxed a forged printout from the Missouri Division of Insurance to Alfa Insurance, claiming her license had been re-issued.

In February 2012, Alfa Insurance determined the printout was a fake and told Glass she could no longer issue policies and notified authorities.

Wendi Glass turned himself in to authorities on September 11. She had previously been charged with forgery and theft charges stemming from cases earlier this year. She's jailed on second-degree forgery and a count of fraudulent insurance act on $5,000 bond.
