Belleville, IL (KSDK) - A man has been charged in connection to a call for shots fired at a Belleville, Illinois gas station earlier this week.
Police were called to the BP gas station in the 100 block of Carlyle Avenue in unincorporated Belleville around 5:15 p.m. Monday.
When officers arrived on the scene a witness told them a man was standing in the parking lot of the gas station and fired a weapon at a passing car.
The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Courtney T. Darris, was located a short time later. When officers executed a search warrant on his home, a loaded semi-automatic pistol, live ammunition, and a substance believed to be cannabis were collected.
Darris has been charged with aggravated discharge of a weapon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon, and defacing identification marks of a firearm.
Bond is set at $50,000.
