Belleville, IL (KSDK) - We have an update on a brutal beating of a toddler back in 2010.
On Wednesday a judge sentenced Kraig Monroe was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
In April, Monroe pleaded guilty to beating his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter, Amanda Runyon in the stomach because she wouldn't stop crying.
The girl survived but had to have part of her bowel removed.
