St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Grand Boulevard, south of Interstate 64 to Chouteau, reoepened around 8:00 a.m. following a police pursuit early Thursday that resulted in three deaths.
St. Louis police confirm they were in pursuit of the vehicle that went out of control and struck concrete planters around 2:45 a.m.
Authorities say three people in the car being chased were killed upon impact. They've been identified as 22-year-old Lamont Cross, 23-year-old Gregory Franklin, and 20-year-old Dasha Rhodes.
Another person in the vehicle, an unidentified 21-year-old, was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police said at 11 p.m. Wednesday there was a report of shots fired in the 2300 block of Minnesota in south St. Louis. Two hours later, a home was shot up in the 2500 block and police put out a description for a silver Nissan Maxima.
Police said they spotted the vehicle with a gun inside, so that is what started the pursuit.
No offers were injured in the crash.
