East St. Louis, IL (KSDK) - Since Sunday morning, six people have been shot, and one stabbed in East St. Louis. Most of the victims are teenagers, and one was shot while mowing the lawn.
The latest victim is 14-years-old.
That shooting happened in the 1500 block of North 45th Street. Chief Michael Floore says the teen was cutting grass when possibly two males ran up to him and shot him.
Neighbors say this is nothing new.
There are two persons of interest in custody, but no charges have been filed.
This is the third violent crime in two days in East St. Louis.
Five people were shot Sunday morning in the Club VIP parking lot. Three died, including a student at East St. Louis Senior High School.
And early Monday morning, a man was stabbed to death.
