ST. LOUIS (AP) - After long delays, a $20 million recreation center in St. Louis will soon open.
KMOX Radio reports that a deal has been worked out to provide $25 annual memberships for children from low-income families. That may end a political standoff that has kept the new recreation center closed, even after work to build it was complete.
Mayor Francis Slay says he is hopeful that aldermen will approve the deal.
