Washington D.C. (KSDK) - U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO) released a statement Wednesday to NewsChannel 5 in response to an I-Team investigation involving Cold War experiments conducted by the U.S. Army on unsuspecting St. Louisans.
"These allegations are deeply concerning, and I've asked my staff to look into this situation immediately," said Blunt. "If this is true and people were potentially harmed by these experiments, we deserve to know the facts immediately."
On Monday the I-Team reported the Army sprayed zinc cadmium sulfide on thousands of citizens.
Sociologist Lisa Martino-Taylor conducted the research and requested unclassified government documents which confirmed the spraying. All of her research was made public Tuesday.
