Rosalyn Ramos found dead in car after father forgets to drop her off at daycare

Doral, FL (WSVN/CNN) - A tragic mistake leads to the death of a six-month-old in Florida.

Police say the infant, Rosalyn Ramos, was found unresponsive after sitting- strapped her car seat for about nine hours in the heat.

According to authorities, her father apparently forgot to drop the toddler off at daycare Wednesday.

A witness at the scene says it was her brother who discovered her when his father picked him up from school.

"When he picked up his kid, he went to his car, and uh, he realized his daughter was there. The little kid found his daughter, his sister in the car. So, the little kid he started crying. Then the guy, he didn't realize that the baby was there, just like fell down to the floor," said witness Carlos Alzate.

The child's father, Lazaro Ramos, was questioned by police.

So far, no charges have been filed.
