Chicago, Ill (WGN) - The number of homicides in Chicago reached 400 so far this year, which is a 25-percent increase from the same time last year.
The latest victim was s 25-year-old man who was shot and killed after a fight at a fast food truck.
A group called Ceasefire is trying to put an end to it. It received a grant from the city to start working with police in two neighborhoods.
Experts predict the city's homicide rate will hit 500 by the end of the year.
