St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Police Department took new steps to help women defend themselves against attackers.
The move comes as investigators nationwide search for a man they're calling a serial rapist.
Police said the man reportedly targets Asian women. He's suspected in attacks in four states, including Missouri, with two attacks in west St. Louis County.
As a result, police hosted a town hall meeting and safety seminar Tuesday night at Parkway North High School.
The session was free to the public.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male around 40-years-old. He has a medium build and stands between 5'6" and 5'8" tall. He has short black hair and may have facial hair.
