"Memphis Belle" lands in St. Louis

A famous World War II aircraft is taking to the skies in St. Louis during its first national tour. The B-17 "Flying Fortress" as it grounded at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport for the Liberty Foundations 2012 Salute to Veterans Tour. "Memphis Belle" is one of only 13 B-17's that still fly today. It was the first B-17 to complete 25 missions.

You can check out the boeing "Memphis Belle" Sunday, October 14, between 10am-5pm. Flights will be offered here at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport in the morning and ground tours will be available during the afternoon.

It costs $450 for a ride.
