Four pedestrians struck after truck loses control

St. Louis (KSDK) - Four pedestrians were struck along Kingshighway Tuesday.

Police say a man was driving a pickup truck on Kingshighway and lost control and struck a light pole and four pedestrians near Lansdowne around 5 p.m.

All four of the pedestrians are minors and were standing or walking on the sidewalk when they were hit.

Captain Dan Sutter with the St. Louis Fire Department says he believes two of the victims were taken to St. Louis Children's Hospital, one to Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center, and one to Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed, but it is believed they are not life-threatening.

The driver of the pickup truck was arrested. His name has not been released.
