St. Charles County (KSDK) - A man from o'Fallon, Missouri is hospitalized at a St. Louis facility after he was seriously hurt in a one car crash west of New Melle.

Officials say 27 year old Brelynn Britton was southbound on State Route T near Lone Trail Drive along the St. Charles and Warren County border around 11:30 p.m. last night when his car cross the centerline and went off the pavement.

The car continued forward, went off the left side of the road and slammed into a tree.

Troopers with the Missouri Highway Patrol say Britton was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.  He was transported by Arch Helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
