Randy Thomas charged with triple shooting in Berkeley

Berkeley, MO (KSDK) - A 22-year-old St. Louis man has been arrested for a triple shooting that happened Sunday.

Randy Rashad Thomas has been charged with four counts of first-degree assault, four counts of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon: shooting into a motor vehicle, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Berkeley police responded to the 8300 block of Fairbanks around 4:15 p.m. Sunday after an officer heard gunshots.

The officer saw a car speeding down the street before exiting at Airport Road.

Police pursued the car and stopped it at Dade and Carson in Ferguson. Three of the four people inside the car had been shot. All are expected to survive.

Police recovered two guns at the scene.

Thomas was on parole at the time of the shooting and arrest.

Bond is set at $200,000.
