St. Louis (KSDK) - Police are investigating after at least one shot was fired Friday night at a high school homecoming football game.
The shooting happened at Gateway High School after their football team lost to Soldan International High School 28-6.
Joe Harris, a freelance reporter for STLHighSchoolSports.com, was at the game and heard the gunfire.
In a phone interview Harris told NewsChannel 5 the game had just ended and he was interviewing the Soldan football coach when he heard a gunshot and saw a flash out of the corner of his eye.
Harris says coaches, players, and media members hit the ground, and coaches yelled at everyone to crawl off the field as quickly as possible.
According to Harris, police moved in quickly from both sides of the field.
Police tell NewsChannel 5 there was a fight and the crowd suddenly disbursed. They could not confirm a shot was fired.
It is unclear if anyone was injured.
Two juveniles were arrested for fighting.
