Detroit, MI (CNN) - Forbes Magazine has scoured crime statistics to compile the country's most dangerous major cities.
Topping the list, for the fourth year in a row, is Detroit. While the most violent crimes fell 10 percent last year, the rate was still five times the national average.
Detroit is followed by St. Louis, Missouri; Oakland, California; Memphis, Tennessee; and Birmingham, Alabama.
The magazine looked over the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports for 2011, and only included cities with populations over 200,000.
Atlanta, Georgia; Baltimore, Maryland; Stockton, California; Cleveland, Ohio; and Buffalo, New York round out the top 10.
