St. Louis (KSDK) - For the last 20 years, USA Weekend magazine and the HandsOn Network have teamed up for a national day of helping others.

This year, NewsChannel 5 as well as our other Gannett television stations and newspapers are all coming together to make our communities better places to live.

A few weeks ago, we awarded a $5,000 grant, through the Gannett Foundation, to a non-profit who received the most votes on The winning organization is the Northwest Academy of Law.

Volunteer with NewsChannel 5 this Saturday, October 27th at the Northwest Academy of Law and help fix up their gym inside and out.

To register, please call 314-385-4774. The school is located at 5140 Riverview Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63120.
