St. Louis (KSDK) -- Police took three people into custody after one of them pulled a gun and pointed it at a police officer.

Police said it all started when police followed a stolen vehicle they believed was linked to a burglary.  The vehicle crashed on Lillian and multiple people jumped out of the car.

Police chased after them.  That's when one man pointed a gun at an officer.  The officer fired a shot in fear for his safety.

The gunman dropped his weapon and took off running.

Police are still looking for a fourth person.

No one was injured in the shooting.
