A Piper Cherokee single-engine plane crashed in Creve Coeur Lake in Maryland Heights Wednesday night. Two people were on board and taken to DePaul Hospital. The pilot, 78-year-old Russell Hazelton, died at the hospital. His wife, 69-year-old Suzanne Hazelton, remains in critical condition.
