Belleville, IL (KSDK) - A Belleville, Illinois man has been sentenced on child pornography charges.
Jack C. Baldwin, Jr., 46, pleaded guilty in August to enticement of a minor, transfer of obscene matter to a minor, and transportation of child pornography.
On Monday, Baldwin was sentenced to 25 years in prison on the enticement charge, 10 years in prison on the transfer charge, and 20 years in prison on the transportation charge. The sentences will run concurrently.
Baldwin was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender. He will also pay financial penalties of $1,500.
An investigation revealed that Baldwin had sent an 11-year-old two pictures of his erect genitalia, one of which was sent on December 10, 2011.
Court documents state that between December 10 and December 13, 2011 he persuaded the 11-year-old to send him a picture of his/her genitalia.
A forensic review of Baldwin's cell phone showed he e-mailed the photo to himself on December 13.
Baldwin admitted in a videotaped, voluntary statement to sending nude photos of his genitalia to the 11-year-old on two different occasions and admitted to receiving a close-up photo of the victim's genitalia.
Baldwin has been in custody since his arraignment July 2, 2012.
