Bowling Green, MO (KSDK) - An early Thursday crash in Pike County has claimed the life of a man from Ralls County.
Authorities with the Missouri Highway Patrol say Andrew Leake, 42 of New London, was northbound on U. S. Highway 61 around 5:30 a.m. yesterday, when he lost control of his pick-up truck near Route U.
Leake's truck left the pavement and struck a culvert, catapulting the vehicle into the air where it overturned, ejecting Leake. The truck then landed in the median of the highway.
Troopers say Leake was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
