Kansas City, MO (KMBC) -- A Missouri toddler is in stable condition after he was injured in a shooting Friday morning.

Authorities say shots were fired into a Kansas City house.
Emergency workers on the scene say a 2-year-old boy suffered a back injury in the shooting. But they say he was conscious and alert when they arrived.

An investigation is underway.
