BUFFALO, N.Y. (WGRZ) - A 16-week-old Jack Russell Terrier continues to recover at the Buffalo Small Animal Hospital after it was set on fire.
WGRZ-TV reported last week that the puppy, now named Phoenix, was first spotted in a yard on Herman Street, on the city's east side.
Doctor Rebecca Wagner and her staff have been treating the dog, which suffered burns over thirty percent of his body.
WGRZ Photojournalist Dooley O'Rourke visited Phoenix and spoke with the doctor about his future. Click the video player above to hear the story.
