Lake St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Emergency officials are on the scene of a serious accident involving a fire truck and a passenger car.
PHOTOS: Fire truck, passenger car collide
Authorities say a Lake St. Louis fire truck hit a passenger car Friday evening on Veterans Memorial Parkway near SSM St. Joseph's Hospital West, causing serious injuries.
Three firefighters were taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Two of them were treated and released. The third is still under evaluation.
One person in the passenger car was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. The extent of that person's injuries has not been disclosed.
