Sunset Hills, MO (KSDK) - A discussion and vote on a controversial plan for an old firehouse, previously scheduled for Tuesday night's Sunset Hills Board of Aldermen meeting, has been tabled for the time being.
According to Sunset Hills Mayor Bill Nolan, the item was removed from the agenda last week. It was previously reported the plan would be talked about at 7 p.m. at Sunset Hills City Hall.
The Gateway House of Prayer wants to turn the firehouse at Lindbergh and Sappington Barracks into a housing unit for the homeless, poor, and prostitutes.
Neighbors are not enthusiastic about the proposal, citing concerns about traffic and the people who would be staying there.
Mayor Nolan did not provide any set date for discussion on the matter.
