St. Louis (KSDK) - Missouri's newest congresswoman says it's going to take tax reform to avoid the "fiscal cliff."
Republican Ann Wagner spoke to area economic leaders on Tuesday. She says she's ready to work with lawmakers on the other side of the aisle to avoid another recession, and she says each party will need to compromise in making cuts and taking away tax loopholes to save the economy.
The president has also said it will take teamwork in Congress to avoid a recession.
Representative-elect Wagner will be sworn in to office in January. She'll be taking Republican Congressman Todd Akin's seat.
