(CNN) - Some good news for the economy. There's been a drop in first time unemployment claims.
Around 410,000 people filed for benefits last week, that's down 41,000 from the week before. Claims are still higher though because of Superstorm Sandy.
The national unemployment rate was 7.9 percent in October.
More than 12 million people were counted as officially unemployed, but not all of those people receive benefits.
