St. Louis (KSDK) - There has been a big development in an I-Team investigation into secret military testing in St. Louis.
There is now a lawsuit connected to the story.
In September, the I-Team got access to information from Dr. Lisa Martino-Taylor at Meramec College. She researched government experiments on humans in St. Louis in the 1950s and 1960s.
A known carcinogen, zinc cadmium sulfide, was sprayed in impoverished areas including the Pruitt-Igoe housing complex, as part of a biological weapons program.
When Martino-Taylor's research went public, many St. Louisans remembered the incidents: men in protective suits, on roofs, with machines spewing a thick fog.
One of them is Benjamin Phillips. He believes his numerous health issues may be connected to the secret tests.
On Wednesday NewsChannel 5's Ashley Yarchin spoke with Phillips, his attorney, and Martino-Taylor about the pending lawsuit.
