Brentwood (KSDK) - Turkey time ended early for many shoppers around the St. Louis area. Around 400 people lined up outside the Target store in Brentwood Thanksgiving night.
Professional shopper Clarence Graham Jr. was first in line. He showed up at 6:00 Thanksgiving morning. Graham was alone until 4:00 Thanksgiving afternoon when the Kadhim family joined him.
Mariam Kadhim, 11, was hoping to get her hands on the latest gaming systems.
"I want an Xbox, a Wii and a Nintendo DS," said Kadhim.
Mariam's Mother, Ashwaq, is an immigrant from Iraq. She's never been shopping on Black Friday and admits she had no idea what to expect.
"I don't know the rules or how they go inside," said Kadhim. "I think it's a good idea. It's a great way for families to save money."
Shopper Alex Walters made it in and out of the store in about 30 minutes and got everything on her list.
"It went pretty smoothly," said Walters. "I got everything I needed. My mom and I are heading back out around 5:00 tomorrow morning. I'm going to be exhausted when I get to work tomorrow night."
