St. Louis (KSDK) - We just checked, and the street lights are back on in St. Louis' O'Fallon Park neighborhood.
Crews worked to fix the problem in north St. Louis Monday morning. Up to 400 street lights were out over the holiday weekend, and residents living in an area of about 10 blocks were affected.
City Streets Director Todd Waeltermann says a crew found a melting transformer and shut it down for safety reasons, which caused the blackout.
Waeltermann says the transformer has been replaced and the lights are working.
