East St. Louis, IL (KSDK) - The search for a missing East St. Louis man has come to an end.

Chief Michael Floore said the body of Dewey Shy, 47, was found floating in a pond at Jones Park around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

East St. Louis police organized a search party Tuesday morning and a member of the party located Shy.

Police said there were no obvious signs of trauma and an autopsy is being performed.

Shy was last seen on November 17. He had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and had not had any medications since his disappearance.
