Cleveland, OH (WJW/CNN) - The mother of a missing Cleveland 3-year-old said she only took her eyes off her son for a moment and he was gone.

Police and the FBI are working around the clock on the hunt for Emilliano Terry. His mother said she was momentarily distracted by another child when the little boy disappeared.

A 5-year-old told police he saw the boy get into a black car, but the details were sketchy so police couldn't issue an Amber Alert.

"We're here this morning to talk to you about the investigation into the whereabouts of Emilliano Terry who is a 3-year-old who is a missing juvenile. He was last seen last evening in the area of Kossuth Park which is at 121st Street and Williams Avenue in the 4th District. The juvenile was last seen by his mother. She made the report last night about 5pm. The search for the juvenile has continued all through yesterday evening, all through the night and it continues today. We have partnered also with the FBI in the search for this individual," said Det. Jennifer Ciaccia with the Cleveland Division of Police.

Investigators say they have talked to the boy's father and they don't believe he was involved in the disappearance.

Emilliano was last seen wearing a gray North Face coat and blue jeans.
