Godfrey, IL (KSDK) - A Godfrey woman was arrested over the weekend after a deputy found her passed out in a car at a local Hardee's drive-thru, the Madison County Sheriff's Office said.
According to Captain William Dimitroff, spokesman for the sheriff's office, a deputy was called to the Hardee's in the 2700 block of Godfrey Road for a report of a woman sleeping in the driver's seat of a running vehicle in the drive-thru.
The deputy said the driver, 53-year-old Janice Lyles, displayed obvious signs of being under the influence of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. Lyles was arrested and taken to Madison County Jail.
Janice Lyles was given citations for driving under the influence of alcohol and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
