St. Louis (KSDK) - A partner at a St. Louis restaurant has been charged with stealing.
Mark Erney, partner at Hamburger Mary's in Midtown has been accused of stealing more than $25,000 from the restaurant.
Court documents state 47-year-old Erney had access to the money other partners invested in the company, along with the Hamburger Mary's checkbook and bank account.
Authorities say the partners noticed financial irregularities, and bank records showed Erney deposited a $25,000 check from an investor into his own bank account and wrote numerous checks from the Hamburger Mary's account to pay bills related to his other company, Erney's 32.
Erney's bond is set at $20,000.
