This weekend you can take a step back in time at the Old Fashioned Christmas Festival in the historic town of Kimmswick. 26 merchants will open their doors to cookie lovers and you can collect a different homemade goodie at each shop.

"We're gonna feature the gingerbread man at the Blue Owl and the Blue Owl Sweet Shop is gonna have our peanut butter cookie," said Mary Hostetter, Blue Owl.

"They are huge. It's called monster cookie because the recipe is so big. It calls for like nine cups of oats for instance," explained Jodi Mathis, Kimmswick Corner.

"The cookie this year is the pecan butter cookie," said Betteanne Smith, Mississippi Mud Gallery & Gifts.

Vendors will each have 776 cookies on hand for the Kimmswick Cookie Walk.

It costs $20 to participate in the Cookie Walk and the proceeds benefit the Kimmswick Visitors Center. You can reserve your ticket at
