Alton, Ill (KSDK) -- A 30-year-old South Roxana man pleaded guilty to reckless homicide following the death of a motorcyclist.
Madison County State's Attorney Thomas Gibbons charged Lloyd Denny with reckless homicide following the May 3, 2011 crash. He is expected to be sentenced next year.
Denny is accused of driving in a reckless manner and rearending motorcyclist Bradley J. Umphlett on Brown Street in Alton. Umphlett died days later from his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
Authorities said Denny was not under the influence of alcohol, but had prescription drugs in his system.
