St. Louis (KSDK) -- A St. Louis police sergeant previously accused of sexually harassing an officer under his command was found dead in his home Thursday after he failed to show up to work.
A police spokesperson said Sgt. Robert Ceriotti's cause of death has not been determined, but there were no signs of trauma or foul play.
Ceriotti had been a lieutenant in the department, but was demoted to sergeant after Sgt. Karen Menendez alleged he made sexually-tinged comments in her company over a 15-year-period.
Thursday was the first day he was expected back at work since the demotion.
