Olive Hill, KY (WSAZ/CNN) - Police walked the mayor of a Kentucky town to their cruiser in handcuffs.
Officers say Olive Hill's Danny Sparks was dealing marijuana within 1,000 feet of an elementary school. They say he sold the drugs to an undercover informant on Wednesday night.
Sparks was also charged with having an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
According to an area newspaper, Sparks resigned his post after his arrest.
Sparks won re-election in 2010 by only a handful of votes.
