Bunker, MO. ( KSDK ) -- A house fire claimed the lives of two young brothers.  A woman and three other children managed to escape the early morning in Bunker, Missouri.

Reynolds County Sheriff Tom Volner tells NewsChannel 5 the victims, ages three months and two years, did not live at the small frame home on Highway 72.  He says they were being watched by a friend of their mother.

Volner says the victims were sleeping in the home's front room when the blaze erupted.  The Missouri State Fire Marshal sent an investigator to help determine what sparked the fire.

The brothers from Ellington, Missouri.

Sheriff Volner said investigators don't know what started the fire, or if the cause is suspicious.
