St. Peters, Mo (KSDK) -- St. Peters police are looking for a woman who hit a store clerk in the face with a gun during an attempted liquor store robbery.

St Peters police said the woman tried to rob the HR Liquor Mini Market in the 2900 block of North St. Peters Parkway on December 1 at 8:55 p.m.

The woman hit the clerk in the face with the gun and then tried to get money from the case register and tried to steal an employee's purse. The clerk fought back and used her cellphone to call 911.

The robber ran from the store.

Police said during the robbery there was a man standing outside the door of the business that they believe was involved.
