St. Louis County, Mo (KSDK) - A South County grandmother who was allegedly stomped by her granddaughter died from her injuries, according to St. Louis County police.

The 92-year-old grandmother died Monday at an area hospital.

St. Louis County police said she had both arms broken, as well as eight ribs, from the attack on November 21.

Police said the granddaughter, Rachel Armstrong, 37, confessed to the attack.  Prosecutors charged her with first-degree elder abuse.

Rachel Armstrong remains in custody at St. Louis County Jail on $75,000 cash-only bond.
