Cross-dresser robs South County U.S. bank, police say

St. Louis County, Mo (KSDK) -- A man believed to be dressed as a woman robbed a U.S. Bank in South County.

St. Louis County police said the robber went into the bank on South County Center Way and gave a note to a teller demanding money.  The person told the teller he was armed.

The teller gave the robber money and the person left the bank.

Police said the robber was wearing a long brown wig, large rimmed sunglasses and heavy tan makeup from the cheek area to the forehead.  The person was between 5'5" and 5'7" and had a thin build.
