First Night 2013 at Grand Center

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - "A Traveling Circus" is the theme of First Night 2013, Grand Center said Tuesday.

First Night is the largest New Year's celebration in the region. The alcohol-free event draws approximately 25,000 people each year. First Night 2013 lasts from 6 p.m. to midnight, with two firework displays at 9 p.m. and midnight.

A First Night 2013 button can be purchased for entry to all indoor activities at all Dierberg's grocery stores, select Schnucks stores, Straub's and online at GrandCenter.org. The buttons cost $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Twelve venues will be available for attendees, featuring more than 65 performances and a wide variety of music, dance, theater, comedy, magic and the Purina Incredible Dog Show.

Grand Center is the St. Louis region's major arts and entertainment district and home to more than 30 organizations. The Grand Center hosts more than 1,500 cultural events each year and is home to Powell Hall, the St. Louis Symphony and the Fabulous Fox Theatre.
